HIV/Aids Orphanage

South Africa is currently experiencing one of the most severe AIDS epidemics in the world. HIV has caused a great suffering in South Africa. Statistics show that around one in five adults are infected and this number is growing. AIDS does not only affect the person that is infected but it has a huge impact on their families, friends and the community at large. Aids deaths are alarmingly common throughout the country. With many women who are HIV-positive still not receiving drugs that could prevent them passing HIV to their babies many children are being born with the disease, many more are suffering from the loss of their parents and family members from AIDS.
 
We assist a HIV/Aids orphanage located in Zululand, Kwa-ZuluNatal, South Africa. Orphaned babies are cared for and we contribute to them and the feeding scheme run from their premises.
